Back to School

Hooray for a little routine! The neighborhood was buzzing bright and early as the kids made their way to the bus stop across the street. Today was the first day of school and although I don't like having to wake up to an alarm...it sure is nice to be up and going early :)

Ember and Rem were both pretty excited and I was relieved! Rem is most excited about the turtle and fish aquarium in his classroom. (I hope that doesn't wear off too soon.) There's much more to school than the pets in the classroom. I think he was a little curious to find out who this other boy named Remington is who is also in his class. Who'd have thought? There are probably only 2 kids named Remington in the entire school and they ended up in the same classroom. Crazy (especially when there are six or more 4th grade teachers.) When we met his teacher at back to school night last week she told me that once she actually had 4 Sean's the same year!!! Yikes!

So of course I can't let the little monkeys get away without a few pictures.
Rem...Forever a Cowboy :) and by far the easiest (but most expensive) kid to shop for!!!

Ember decided she wanted to be a little more girly and opted for a jean skirt!

I can't believe another year is just beginning...

Here's Brooklyn pouting on the front step as the bus arrives.
Poor girl...I guess it's just her and me at least for another 6 weeks or so!!!

And here's the 4th little monkey soon to arrive. (Can you tell that Ember loves to be the photographer. She's getting pretty good too. I said no head shots and this is what she got. LOL!) If Halloween were sooner...I could be the headless MUMMY :)

With all the aches and pains and feeling down right miserable some days...I must say that I am grateful and anxious to meet this little one who keeps me up all night with her kicks and wiggles :) I know people think I'm not very big but it's only because I don't carry much fluid around the baby and every internal organ is smashed up inside my ribcage so that she can hide in my back. As much as I am miserable I feel for her too. I can't imagine that it's very comfortable to be upside down and so scrunched! Thank goodness we have no recollection of our days in the womb or I think we would all have a severe case of Claustrophobia!
