June Days
For Memorial weekend, the kids and I headed to Wyoming to spend a few days with our family. Even though the weather wasn't as nice as we had hoped, we did get a little sunshine and lots of playing time with cousins.
(Grandma sure is tolerant and nice.)
And...it's a cheap way to entertain kids. Just buy a can at the dollar store and enjoy. It makes the room sure smell fresh and clean too!

Can't forget how important Grandpa's 4 Wheeler is when it comes to fun on the ranch. Remington was sure proud to be KING of the pasture hauling Grandpa's "mugwomps" around. Gratefully everyone was safe and had a good time!
Next, we headed to Salt Lake City where we joined up with all of my brothers and sisters and their family and kids to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. (Technically, their anniversary is actually Aug. 24th...but we wanted to celebrate it early before my sister and her family headed to Illinois for medical school.)

On Friday we met at the Salt Lake Temple grounds and enjoyed walking around the beautiful temple where my parents were married. We also toured the beautiful visitors center. I just love walking up the rounded stair case and standing at the feet of this amazing statue of our Savior Jesus Christ. It's like walking into Heaven.
On Saturday, the kids splashed in the pool while the girls finished up some last minute details. Then all the grandkids met in the parking garage to help fulfill some important assignments such as decorating Grandpa and Grandma's car with balloons and pop cans etc. They did a great job.
Words don't really give justice to the evening so I'll let the pictures tell the story!
Guests of the evening included:
Mindi and Jon
The Grandkids...or (Mugwomps as Grandpa calls them)
Grandpa and Grandma Nield with their newest granddaughter
Taye Lynne
Taye Lynne
(I knew I could sneak Marquelle in here somewhere.)
A coloring book for the kids created by Mindi.
Finally, the night closed with a gift from me ...a video montage I created of our family through the last 50 years. We all got in our comfy pajamas and met up in Marquelle's hotel room which was all decorated like a movie theatre with popcorn and candy while we watched the movie.
We Love You!

How fun! It looks like you all did a great job planning that party. I'm sure your parents loved it!
