This has been an exciting week. First of all, it's the last week of school (actually, today is the last day.) Hooray! I'm so ready for summer. Now if the weather would just warm up.
Second, my brother and his wife just had their third baby, a little girl on the 25th. Even more amazing is that it was the same day as my Grandma West's birthday. There couldn't be a more special day to arrive. We are so happy for them. Congrats Bryan and Rachel.
Finally, if you haven't heard...I guess I better announce that we are expecting a new little arrival in our family the middle of October. We woke the kids up early yesterday morning so that we could be at the hospital for the ultrasound at 7 a.m. This is the first time that we have ever brought our kids and they were excited. Luckily, our little one cooperated quite nicely and the doctor was able to announce with certainty that we are having a

GIRL!
Rem was really hoping for a little brother and I could see the disappointment on his sad face. Poor kid...I guess he's gonna have to get used to being the only boy, but I keep trying to reassure him that it's not necessarily a bad thing. There are lots of benefits to being the only boy!

Congrats on the baby girl!!! I am so excited for you guys. I love how amazing the ultrasounds are now. You feel like you could already hold them. She looks so sweet with her hand up to her mouth.
Those ultra-sounds are amazing! So much detail, and congrats on the next little lady in line. I can't wait to see her.

Yeah!!! That is so exciting! I love the picture of your new little one, it makes it seem so real. We often have to tell Luke that he is the protector of the girls in our family. Sometimes that helps him feel a little better when he thinks about being the only boy. I hope you are feeling okay and that you can get a nap in every now and then!
