Well, the New Year is off and running and our house is full of extra excitement and activity thanks to a new little addition to the family. His name is Sport and he is cute, cuddly, mischievous and well...a little naughty. With all that said, check this little guy out.
He is a Chihuahua/Jack Russel mix and we are in love. We were lucky to find him on Petfinder.com (an organization that rescues "pound puppies" and other animals and places them in foster homes until they are adopted.) We went to meet him on New Years Eve and it was meant to be. After signing the papers, he rode home with us on Ember's lap smiling and wagging the whole way. I'm beginning to think he might just make a good trucking companion for someone I know. LOL!

As you can see, Ember is especially fond of him.
And Sport has made himself right at home :)
I think dogs are a lot like kids....they're even cuter when they're asleep!

And in case you didn't notice in the previous pics,
we cut Ember's hair on a whim.
It was my idea and Ember decided to go along with it.
This is BEFORE
During
And After
She loves it and so do I.
I just wonder what took us so long to do it.
We could have saved a lot of frustration over the years with all the tangles.

P.S. O. K., Jessica if you reading this...don't look too close! I know the right front looks a little longer but it's really not, it just looks that way...promise! What can I say, my kids are so trusting. That's really a good thing. They have lots of Faith!
Maybe I'm a little over confident with the scissors, but don't tell them that!

Ha Ha. No it looks really good. Its super cute and the reason you waited so long is because she wanted her hair to grow as long as Kenidee's remember. Now that we convinced Ken that she didn't want it to fall in the toilet when she went to the bathroom and cut it... so can Em. Good job it looks great.

I'm always glad when I can convince Emily to let me cut her hair shorter. She gets the worst tangles and has such a sensitive head that it's really very frustrating. Embers hair looks really cute.

First of all, Ember looks so darling in her hair cut. What a doll! Secondly, your dog Sport is the cutest thing. Sport is a lucky dog to come to such a wonderful family.
