I got the kids dressed up and hurried to get my own costume together. I wanted to be Anne of Green Gables but I couldn't find a dress to fit the part so I settled on being Cruella DeVil once again. Thankfully there was enough white hairspray from last year and I remembered to glue the long red eyelashes on straight. However, I didn't have any little pups to tag along. They had other ideas for their costumes and Eloy...well, he wasn't sure he wanted to don the leash and collar again this year LOL! or even wanted to dress up but at the last minute he was feeling a little left out so gratefully he always has his Rodeo Clown costume to fall back on. Before rushing out the door with my crock pot of chili, I hurriedly brushed some paint on Eloy's face and we were off. Now, it's just his luck that he would win a prize for his costume.
Remington was an Ice Road Trucker. Don't fret if you haven't a clue what that is. Only a truck driving fanatic would know! (Just trust me, you don't ever want to be one and I hope he never aspires to do really do that. It involves driving a big truck over frozen water in the middle of nowhere Alaska. Even bull riding might be a better option!!! No kidding!) But just look how happy he was. I'm sure he was the brightest and warmest there!
She was nice and cozy in her black jogging suit.
We ate, we laughed and we paraded around the church...but the drizzling rain kept us from having our trunk or treat outside. So much for the lit pumpkins in our trunk. Maybe someone caught a glimpse of them as they trailed behind us on the way home. Oh well, it's the effort that counts, RIGHT?

Darling post Marci. I can't believe your pumpkins outlived my dollar store ghosts. :) Sounds like you had a wonderful party, despite the weather.
I love your Halloween post! I never would have thought you could plug in pumpkin lights in the van. So cool!
Great Costumes, Marci!
